Practiced for over 3 thousand years, guided by Taoist principles of Yin/Yang, the acupuncturist seeks to restore physical and spiritual balance to the person. An intricate system of pulse taking, tongue observation, palpation of meridian points, medical/family history and other signs and symptoms create the diagnosis for each person. The basis of the treatment then is concerned with regulating the individual’s life force, referred to as ch’i to promote the body’s ability to heal itself and maintain balance in the body’s system.
My goal is to educate each person in the understanding of Chinese Medicine and how the seasons, food, attitudes and life style effect their health and vitality so they can make the appropriate changes to support a healthy vibrant life – adding life to their years.
